Welcome to the COR's official page
The Official Committee of Retired Employees of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (COR, for its Spanish acronym) was appointed by the United States Trustee in June 2017 to represent the collective interests of the retirees who belong to the Employee Retirement System of the Government of Puerto Rico (ERS), Teacher's Retirement System (TRS) and Judicial Retirement System (JRS).
Represents the retireesThe COR represents the collective interests of the ERS, TRS and JRS Puerto Rico government retired employees in Title III legal procedures.

Protects the pensionsBesides representing the collective interests of the P.R. Government retired employees, the COR's obligation is to protect the pensions under the Puerto Rico bankruptcy process.

The COR represents and speaks on behalf of the ERS, TRS and JRS Puerto Rico Government retired employees in Title III cases. Among our responsibilities are:

Review current and future Fiscal Plans for the Government of Puerto Rico, and analyze all proposals that the government –through the Fiscal Oversight and Management Board – may present to modify pensions and other benefits that retirees are entitled to receive.

Meet with the Board, the Fiscal Agency and Financial Advising Authority (AAFAF), and other parties-in-interest, as well as with mediators appointed by Judge Laura Taylor Swain as appropriate to address and negotiate any proposed changes to pensions or other retiree benefits and to provide legal, financial, actuarial and economic analysis to support the protection of retiree benefits.

Speak on behalf of the collective interests of the Government of Puerto Rico retired employees at all court hearings and other public proceedings.

Keep the community of the Government of Puerto Rico retired employees informed regarding the ongoing legal process with updated, trustworthy and timely information.
Why it's important to register
The COR invites you to register your contact information with us to receive updated information about matters that could impact our pensions; become a spokesperson among other retirees and your community; and, when the time comes, to find out when and how to vote for the Plan of Adjustment to restructure Puerto Rico's public debt.
The Benefit Modification Illustration CalculatorThe objective of the calculator is to provide a confidential and easy-to-use tool for the retirees to know what would be the possible impact to their pension benefits under the COR agreement versus the Fiscal Oversight Board's Fiscal Plan of May 9, 2019.
